Biologia is an international journal covering various aspects of botany, zoology and cellular and molecular biology. Since 1946 the journal serves to publish the newest results from research in life sciences. It provides to the authors a credible and efficient peer-review and is in a front to their expectations of high scientific standards. Journal Biologia is indexed by Abstracting and Indexing Services and evaluated by receiving a first IF in 1994.
Biologia is published monthly and contains papers from all the above- mentioned fields of biology. Each section has its own Managing Editor, Associate Editors and Editorial Board. For the authors it benefits in a faster and broader visibility of their results. Journal Biologia has been published on-line since 2006, and since January 2018, it is published under Springer publishing house.

Aims and scope
Biologia publishes high-quality research papers in the fields of microbial, plant and animal sciences. The papers on microbial sciences cover all aspects of Bacteria, Archaea and microbial Eucarya including biochemistry, cellular and molecular biology, genomics, proteomics and bioinformatics. The papers on plant sciences cover fundamental research in taxonomy, geobotany, genetics and all fields of experimental botany including cellular, whole-plant and community physiology. The papers on zoology cover mostly animal systematics and taxonomy, morphology, ecology and physiology from cellular to molecular level.
Full-paper contributions should present original experimental, methodological or theoretical research. Review articles are preferably by invitation but unsolicited reviews are equally welcome. Journal also publishes short and preliminary communications of outstanding scientific importance.
